Knee Braces
Categories of Knee Braces
1) Ligament or Stability Knee Braces are typically provided to support an injured or torn ligament.
Conditions include one or a combination of the following:
- ACL sprains/injuries
- PCL sprains/injuries
- MCL sprains/injuries
- LCL sprains/injuries
2) Osteoarthritis or Unloading Knee Braces are used to unload the medial or lateral side of the knee.
This decreases weight bearing on the affected area, can help reduce pain and increase activity levels.
Conditions include one or a combination of the following:
- Medial Knee Osteoarthritis
- Lateral Knee Osteoarthritis
- Medial Meniscus Tears or Injuries
- Lateral Mensicus Tears or Injuries
3) General Knee Sleeves/Braces can be used for a variety of conditions including:
- PFPS (Patellar Femoral Pain Syndrome)
- Patella malalignments/subluxations
- Patellar tendonitis
- Minor instabilities
- Arthritis
- Patella Femoral Arthritis
- Chondromalacia patellae
- Osgood-Schlatter Disease
- Post operation and post injury bracing
- For patella dislocation and certain knee
